CaptiFi Connect and ClickSend, side by side
ClickSend is a large international SMS gateway owned by Sinch. CaptiFi Connect is a UK-only business texting service. Here is how the two line up on the things that decide the choice, as we found them on ClickSend's UK site on 16 October 2026.
How does CaptiFi Connect compare with ClickSend?
ClickSend covers many countries and channels, with a marketplace of integrations and 24-hour live chat. CaptiFi Connect texts UK mobiles only, publishes its pence prices in plain HTML, includes a two-way inbox, keywords, link tracking and team logins, and gives 10 free credits with no card. ClickSend's UK prices did not render without scripts when we checked, and UK dedicated numbers need three months paid up front.
What ClickSend offers (checked 16 October 2026)
ClickSend sells business SMS and MMS, rich messaging (RCS), email to SMS with an Outlook plugin, an SMS API with SMPP, a two-way "SMS Messenger" inbox, SMS marketing campaigns with a built-in link shortener, and a marketplace of integrations including Zapier, Make and Power Automate. Inbound texts and replies are free. Users are unlimited. Support is 24-hour live chat; we found no phone number or support email on the UK site.
Pricing is prepaid credit with volume discounts. On the UK pricing page every per-message rate showed a placeholder and the top-up thresholds showed dollar amounts while GBP was selected, so the only pence figure we could read was "from £0.0424 per message" on the SMS marketing page. The trial is 14 days with a small free credit whose amount is not stated. Prepaid credit lapses after 12 months without a send or top-up. A UK dedicated number carries a monthly fee with a three-month minimum paid up front, and a card is needed to apply.
Where CaptiFi Connect differs
We do one thing: texts to UK mobiles, from a dashboard or an API, for UK businesses. That shows in the details. Prices are four packs in pence on one page, visible to anyone. Every new account gets 10 free credits with no card. Credits never expire. A dedicated UK mobile number is 250 credits a month with no minimum term. Keywords with automatic replies, link tracking with click reports, team logins with roles and two-step sign-in are all included.
ClickSend is the better fit if you text outside the UK, want MMS or RCS, or need an integration from a marketplace rather than a webhook. We do not offer any of those.
Moving from ClickSend
Switching takes an afternoon. Export your contacts and opt-out list from ClickSend as CSV, create a CaptiFi Connect account, and import both: contacts go in with column mapping, opt-outs go in under Opt-outs so nobody who has stopped hears from you again. Sender names are re-checked by us, which takes a working day or two, so ask for them first.
- Set everything up while we check your account: contacts, lists, templates, keywords and API keys all work before approval.
- Build against the API with a test key, then swap in a live key. The request shapes are documented on one page and in the OpenAPI document.
- Run the first campaign to a small list and compare the delivery report with what you are used to.

Questions people ask
Is CaptiFi Connect cheaper than ClickSend?
We cannot say for every volume, because ClickSend's UK per-message rates did not render without scripts when we checked. Against the one pence figure it publishes, "from £0.0424", our packs run from 5p down to 3.5p plus VAT, so the Starter pack costs more per text and the three larger packs cost less.
Can I keep my ClickSend sender name?
Ask for the same name in your CaptiFi Connect dashboard. We check every name against the MEF registry and for impersonation, which takes a working day or two, and then texts show the same name as before.
Does CaptiFi Connect have a marketplace like ClickSend?
No. We connect through a REST API and signed webhooks, which work with Zapier, Make and Power Automate through their webhook modules, and through email to SMS. There is no catalogue of ready-made connectors.
What can ClickSend do that CaptiFi Connect cannot?
Text numbers outside the UK, send MMS and RCS, offer 24-hour live chat, and plug into a marketplace of named integrations. If you need any of those, ClickSend or another international provider is the right choice.
Where do these figures come from?
From ClickSend's UK website, read on 16 October 2026. Prices and terms change, so check their site before deciding, and tell us if something here is out of date.
