Cookies
Draft of 16 October 2026
This notice explains the cookies and similar storage CaptiFi Connect Ltd uses on captificonnect.co.uk and in the dashboard. We use as little as we can: one cookie to keep you signed in, and one setting saved in your browser.
1. What we use
| Name | Type | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| cc_session | Cookie, set by us | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard. It holds a random token and nothing else; it can't be read by scripts on the page. | 30 days from your last visit, or until you sign out |
| theme | Browser storage (localStorage), set by us | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark dashboard theme. | Until you clear it or change the setting |
2. Why there's no cookie banner
Both are strictly necessary for something you asked for: staying signed in, and keeping the theme you picked. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) allow storage like this without asking for consent first. We don't use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and no other company sets cookies through our website.
[If analytics or any other non-essential cookie is added, add a consent banner and list the cookie here before it goes live]
3. Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cc_session cookie you won't be able to sign in to the dashboard; the public website works the same either way.
