How does CaptiFi Connect compare with Voodoo SMS?
Voodoo SMS shows three monthly plans, £54 for 500 messages up to £468 for 10,000, each leading to a quote form, and mentions rates "from 1.74p" at volume without a table. CaptiFi Connect shows four one-off packs in pence, from £25 for 500 credits to £700 for 20,000, buyable by card, with credits that never expire, a threaded inbox and free keywords and link tracking.
What Voodoo SMS offers (checked 16 October 2026)
Voodoo SMS sells web campaigns with scheduling and batching, mail-merge personalisation, alphanumeric sender IDs, a REST API with Magento and OpenCart modules, email to SMS, delivery reports, short links with per-recipient click tracking on a branded domain, custom reports, an inbound inbox with auto-responder and forwarding, keywords on a shared short code or long number, and dedicated virtual mobile numbers. It states ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, shows a phone number, and promises to beat any like-for-like UK offer.
Pricing is three monthly plans, Starter £54 for 500 messages, Growth £143 for 2,500 and Enterprise £468 for 10,000, each with a "Get a quote" button, which is 10.8p, 5.7p and 4.7p a message. Other pages say "from 1.74p" at volume, offer a free account with a £2 balance, and promise free credits on a first purchase, but no per-tier table is published. A help-centre article several years old prices a dedicated number at £10 plus VAT a month. Credits never expire. The site has no navigation menu; pages are reached through body links and the footer.
Where CaptiFi Connect differs
Every price is on one page and you buy without a quote. 500 credits are £25 as a one-off here against £54 a month there; 10,000 are £350 here against £468 a month there. Credits never expire at either. Click tracking is included at both; keywords here run on your own number rather than a shared short code, and are free. The inbox here is one thread per person.
Voodoo SMS is the better fit if a price-match promise matters, if you want texts in other countries, or if an ISO certification is a condition of purchase. It also offers a reseller programme, which we do not.
Moving from Voodoo SMS
Switching takes an afternoon. Export your contacts and opt-out list from Voodoo SMS as CSV, create a CaptiFi Connect account, and import both: contacts go in with column mapping, opt-outs go in under Opt-outs so nobody who has stopped hears from you again. Sender names are re-checked by us, which takes a working day or two, so ask for them first.
- Set everything up while we check your account: contacts, lists, templates, keywords and API keys all work before approval.
- Build against the API with a test key, then swap in a live key. The request shapes are documented on one page and in the OpenAPI document.
- Run the first campaign to a small list and compare the delivery report with what you are used to.

Is CaptiFi Connect cheaper than Voodoo SMS?
At the plan prices Voodoo SMS publishes, yes: 500 messages are £54 a month there and £25 as a one-off here, and 10,000 are £468 a month there and £350 here. Voodoo SMS quotes "from 1.74p" at volume, which you have to ask for and which we would not beat on our published packs.
Does CaptiFi Connect price-match?
No. Our prices are the four packs on the pricing page, the same for everyone. Voodoo SMS promises to beat any like-for-like UK offer.
Can I brand the short links with my own domain?
Not yet. Short links are on captificonnect.co.uk. Voodoo SMS offers a branded domain.
What can Voodoo SMS do that CaptiFi Connect cannot?
Text other countries, keywords on a five-digit short code, branded short-link domains, a reseller programme, phone support and ISO certifications. If those decide it, Voodoo SMS is the right choice.
